I am running around the house

This morning I had a live chat with my sister and nephew, who have been living in NY for two and a half years.

During the chat, my nephew showed me what he learned recently and I asked him to read some of it aloud to me because I was curious about whether he really understood what he had written. And there was a sentence that I am running around the house. At first glance, literally, I thought it meant that someone is running outside a house, around it in a circle I mean. My nephew told me that it means 我在房里跑来跑去。 However, I was not quite sure, so this afternoon I looked it up.

It turns out that running around the house means someone is very busy with something, moving frequently in the house, which is what my nephew told me. 

Still a journey to be natural. Keep going. 🚀
